Clara Campoamor (1888 - 1972) was a Spanish lawyer and politician who defended women's rights. She was also one of the main promoters of women's suffrage in Spain.

The quote that appears on the bookmark is "La libertad se aprende ejerciéndola" ("Freedom is learned by exercising it"). One of the phrases Campoamor uttered in her speech to parliament on October 1, 1931 on the day universal suffrage was approved.

Bookmarks dedicated to women

Among the bookmarks you will find more models with portraits of women than men. My goal has been to recover the voice of women who have excelled in different fields throughout history. That's why among the bookmarks there will be not only women authors and writers, but also politicians and artists.

The stamping of an artisan engraving

All the bookmarks are handmade, the creation of the design, the carving of the stamp and its stamping are made free of any industrial process, that is why each copy of bookmark is unique.
