Ex-libris Owl on branch
Dimensions: 5 x 7 cm
I imagined an owl perched on a branch motionless during the day, its song echoing in the night. However, at the time I was unaware that owls are not limited to tree dwellers; they are true masters of camouflage and survival, adapting to safe havens beyond the heights. I rendered an eagle owl with piercing eyes, representing wisdom.
This design was inspired by ancient symbolism. In ancient Greece, the owl was the companion of Athena, the goddess of war and wisdom. Therefore, I am confident that this exlibris will become the ideal companion for libraries populated by wise, curious and warriors, as well as lovers of philosophy and knowledge.
