Ex-libris Wheat grains
Dimensions: 7 x 5 cm
Based on the work of Maruja Mallo, this stamp shows an open hand with grains of wheat. A symbol that appears in the painting "Surprise of wheat".
The artist Mallo is, without a doubt, a central figure of the Generation of '27, a friend of Lorca and Dalí, and the one who gave her name to the female group of this generation, the sinsombrero.
A unique object, an ex-libris
In this small workshop I make all the stamps to measure, each piece that comes out is a unique piece. Each stamp is handmade with all possible care. In addition, all the stamps are personalized with the name you want, making each ex-libris personal and non-transferable. To do so, write your name in the Inscription box.
Reclaiming women artists
This collection wants to recover and make visible the work of Mallo, a woman artist who has left us an exceptional work. This year marks the 120th anniversary of her birth, I encourage you to go to the Reina Sofia Museum or the Thyssen in Malaga to see her works.
The ex libris "Grains of wheat" is part of my collection "Mallo" with three other stamps: "Wheat fingers", "Guitarra de verbena" and "Ojo". All of them have been elaborated to offer original models dedicated to the world of art.
